Pizza box insert that you tear out mini paper plates and napkins - pizza server

Genius.

Now I’ve seen the boxes with perforations before, like this:

Perforated pizza box to serve as plates

Sure, that’s cool and it gives everybody plates, but it also means having to tear apart the box completely just in order to serve half of it.

With the little paper insert, you pull out each slice as you normally would, but automatically have a napkin or mini plate to hold onto your pizza and go about your business. You can argue it’s extra waste, but I don’t see it much different than the waxy inserts they put in to soak up some of the grease, and this is more practical.

Besides, if you’re anything like us, we only ever order pizza when we need a lazy night anyway. Chances are, we’re not going to want to dirty up dishes anyway, and paper towels would be used as napkins and plates anyway.

How to eat on the go with kids – Fast food bento boxes?

Use an art supply school organizer to hold hamburger, fries, apples, drink, and sauces from a fast food restaurant like McDonald's

You know how it is eating fast food on the go. Sure, cars usually have a drink holder, but what about for the rest?

If your kid can barely keep food on his/her plate when sitting still at a kitchen table, how can you expect them to juggle a burger, fries, sauces, and getting a drink every so often on a tiny uneven lap in a moving vehicle? You can’t.

Lookie What I Did got this little basket for a buck at a dollar store and I’m sure we’ve all seen them for art or craft supplies….or they’re synonymous with showering in college dorm rooms considering you have to carry your own toiletries back and forth.

Why not keep a couple of these organizers in the car to make chowing down on the go even easier, too? Nobody likes cleaning up ketchup off the backseat, after all. I can’t help you prevent the splatterings on the roof, though….not that I’ve ever had to deal with those exploding ketchup packets in the backseat before or anything…

How to make glow-in-the-dark sushi

Glow in the dark flourescent fish sushi - pink blue yellow

Well I guess it’d be rather easy to ask “Do I have any fish stuck in my teeth?” and actually get a real answer back in the dark restaurant or bar.

I’m not the only one gets asked that, right? And 99% of the time it seems to be in poorly lit areas where there is no way I can actually tell if there’s food stuck in their teeth…

But yes….fish….that glows in the dark. I’m sure that’d be a hit at our next Halloween party. It’s probably a bad thing that I’m picturing floating them in a fish tank…or worse yet, playing those games where you let kids feel the gross foods in bowls with their eyes closed (like peeled grapes as eyeballs….gummy worms for worms….dead fish as…hmmm).

Anyway….

If you’re in California, you’re out of luck, but anywhere else is fair game to order these little glowing fish and make your own.

Too bad I couldn’t get by with just using some neon tetras from the local fish shop instead. :P
