Mini-paper plates in delivery pizza box insert

Pizza box insert that you tear out mini paper plates and napkins - pizza server

Genius.

Now I’ve seen the boxes with perforations before, like this:

Perforated pizza box to serve as plates

Sure, that’s cool and it gives everybody plates, but it also means having to tear apart the box completely just in order to serve half of it.

With the little paper insert, you pull out each slice as you normally would, but automatically have a napkin or mini plate to hold onto your pizza and go about your business. You can argue it’s extra waste, but I don’t see it much different than the waxy inserts they put in to soak up some of the grease, and this is more practical.

Besides, if you’re anything like us, we only ever order pizza when we need a lazy night anyway. Chances are, we’re not going to want to dirty up dishes anyway, and paper towels would be used as napkins and plates anyway.

Why didn’t I think of this??

Obviously that’s great for sugar, but similar to the parmesan shaker top idea, think of all the other things you could use this for. Maybe for creamer, too? Or one of either of these tops would work well to keep some flour in to dust your counter top when rolling doughs and whatnot.

Wrapping paper looks like burger – Would you like ribbon fries with that?

Actually, I’d love some curly fries now….

Unfortunately, this isn’t available for Christmas this year. It’s shame, too; I’ve seen it listed in so many places this season that I can only imagine how much they would’ve sold.

Instead, it’s on Kickstarter and you can “preorder,” in a sense, and expect orders to be filled in a couple months. They’ve already reached their funding goal by a long shot, so start thinking of the gifts you’d wrap in this awesome paper.

I’m thinking books are an obvious route, with them easily being the right shape and something you might give multiples of at once. Maybe boxes of chocolate for Valentine’s Day?
