Are these knuckle sandwiches? Or finger sandwiches?

High five finger sandwiches where the bread dinner rolls are shaped into hands/fingers.

They’re intended to be finger sandwiches. :)

They are actually really easy to make, too. Instead of shaping bread after it has been cut or having to make it fresh, they used frozen dinner rolls. Simply flatten out a piece of dough into a rectangle and then cut slits into the dough where you want the fingers to be. Bake for 10 minutes or so and then fill with your favorite sandwich fillings.

These were originally made for Halloween, but I think they could work for a lot of different parties actually. For example, how about any “congratulatory” celebration where these could be offered as “high-fives”?

Need help playing with your food? Sunnyside egg shaper

Sunnyside up egg shaper that is a heat-resistant cookie cutter made of silicone to make eggs look like sunshine with clouds behind it

Get the sunnyside silicon egg shaper on Amazon.

I have a set of cookie cutters (that I love to spill), but I very rarely use them. I can count the number of times I’ve used them myself even, and I know I could do it on my fingers. I have every intention of using them more, but I don’t usually make shaped cookies and at other times, I simply free-form with a knife or shaping objects instead.

Monkey Business Sunnyside Silicon Egg Shaper - Amazon for $20 - Egg with clouds and cheese as sun rays. Brocoli tree and something for birds. Maybe raisins?

Even if I bought the above egg shaper, chances are, I’d probably only use it once or twice. I love the idea, though, and I think that for anyone who wants to have a little more fun with their food, but doesn’t know how, this would be a good way to get some inspiration. It’s a little limited as to how much you could play with it considering it’s a set shape and isn’t going to work with many other foods, but kids especially would love this. It might inspire you to create other scenes to go along with your sunny side up egg picture, though.

Have another Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich penguin!

Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookies. They look like penguins with a marshmallow belly, Tootsie roll arms, carnival peanut nose and feat. Nutter butters change shape to round cookie instead now.

Can you tell what each of the toppings used is? I couldn’t figure out what the white was to begin with, but after seeing the tutorial over at Hungry Happenings, I felt silly for not recognizing it.

I couldn’t even make this right now if I wanted to unfortunately. Did you know that they changed the shape to just being round cookies? Yeah, it’s pretty lame. :(

And I’m pretty sure if I used round cookies for these, they would turn out to be the most deformed little penguins ever.

Actually, this penguin plush toy might take the cake on that one:

Round penguin ball. Deformed fat penguin.

But they’d be rough regardless, so I’ll just drool over the penguins above instead. It’s not like I really like Nutter Butters anyway…. I only want to play with them. :P
