Chocolate ice cubes – Spice up and choclify your drink

Chocolate ice cubes for cold chocolate milk with coffee or slushie

Oh yes they did. At first, I just thought it was a clever way of making chocolate milk. It’s definitely a great way to keep the milk cold all the way to the bottom instead of making it halfway through a glass and realizing it’s room temperature.

Instead, though, this isn’t just chocolate. This particular variety has dark chocolate and instant coffee with vanilla milk for a sweet treat instead of plain ol’ chocolate milk. It was also mentioned to play around with other ingredients like pepper for a kick of spice. Yum.

Chocolate ice

  • 200ml milk
  • 50ml water
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee (optional)
  • 70g dark chocolate (66%)

Milk with Vanilla

  • 600ml milk
  • 60g sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod

Full instructions for making each are at The Mixer. If Google doesn’t automatically translate it for you, there’s an option on the right-hand side to put it in English.

Smores french toast stuffed with nutella, marshmallow fluff and coated in graham crackers, backed

Instructions and more drool-worthy pictures of Smore’s French Toast

Fun Quirky Jessi fact: S’mores are one of those treats that I didn’t get to try until I was nearly an adult. It’s kinda like Toys R Us….everybody else did it as a kid, while I made up for it later instead.

For a more grown-up version for the rest of you, though, I think this french toast variety is a little more refined and “fancy”…

Wait. Can I call a dish that’s essentially bread stuffed with chocolate and marshmallow fluff, coated in crushed graham crackers, and then potentially fried….”fancy?”

Probably not. Hmm. Maybe it’s more…. “refined.” Nah.

Got it. It’s a great way to have s’mores indoors when it’s not summer prime time! Woot. There we go. Great description. I got your excuse all planned out for you. Now you must go indulge. :P

And bring me some, too, ok? Otherwise, I’ll have to wait until I’m old and senile for this to be inappropriate enough for me.

Football, baseball, basketball – What shape is a strawberry?

Wiltons chocolate covered strawberries painted to look like a basketball, baseball, and football with icing

Obviously all three, right? And these chocolate covered strawberries could easily be tennis ball shaped, too, or just about any other ball that has distinct markings that could be drawn on. Nobody cares what the actual shape is.

According to Lori from RecipeGirl, these are an absolute hit, too. From an online store, these will cost you a whopping 25 bucks for only 6 of them, but it’s guaranteed you can make them yourself for a lot cheaper with the same results.
