I bet Santa would have brought him cookies

Cookie monster opens a present that has a box of crackers inside and has the dialogue box of him saying "It's like you don't even know me!"

But Santa only would have followed through with the cookie request because the Cookie Monster asked for them. It certainly wouldn’t be because he was concerned with Mr. Monster’s health or variety of diet.

As much as I feel bad for Cookie to be disappointed there, I’m actually a wee-bit judgmental of people who only eat one kind of food. Or even two. I am entirely bored eating out with people who always order the same things, too. Where’s the fun in that? I don’t expect everyone to be adventurous by any means, but if you go to the same restaurant 20 times and always order the same thing….how do you know if you’re missing out on other great dishes that you probably like, too?

/Shrugs. To each his/her own, I suppose. If you really, really, REALLY love that food and want to eat it for the rest of your life, then so be it. It’s shallow of me to judge, I know, but I just can’t relate whatsoever and I have a hard time grasping the concept. Chocolate chip cookies are amazing, but to only eat that forever and ever? Eh…

Bagel buoy boy – Summertime swimmer art

A bagel made to look like it's a person in an intertube raft buoy. Legs and arms made of cream cheese with red pepper flippers, green pepper sunglasses, cheese hair, red pepper snorkel

Now that I’m really inspecting and admiring this, the cream cheese does look a little gross, eh? Ah well, it’s still awesome!

Also, the recipe suggests adding nutella to the cream cheese for a darker skin complexion. I’m not sure I would’ve considered doing that at all, but I love the idea. <3

….and there’s the realization yet again that the simplest things make me giddy. To be sitting at my computer, smiling at a screen while I type, at the thought of adding chocolate to make a cream cheese swimmer a more accurate color for some people? Uh, yeah, I might have issues. Oops.

Dessert for breakfast – S’mores french toast

Smores french toast stuffed with nutella, marshmallow fluff and coated in graham crackers, backed

Instructions and more drool-worthy pictures of Smore’s French Toast

Fun Quirky Jessi fact: S’mores are one of those treats that I didn’t get to try until I was nearly an adult. It’s kinda like Toys R Us….everybody else did it as a kid, while I made up for it later instead.

For a more grown-up version for the rest of you, though, I think this french toast variety is a little more refined and “fancy”…

Wait. Can I call a dish that’s essentially bread stuffed with chocolate and marshmallow fluff, coated in crushed graham crackers, and then potentially fried….”fancy?”

Probably not. Hmm. Maybe it’s more…. “refined.” Nah.

Got it. It’s a great way to have s’mores indoors when it’s not summer prime time! Woot. There we go. Great description. I got your excuse all planned out for you. Now you must go indulge. :P

And bring me some, too, ok? Otherwise, I’ll have to wait until I’m old and senile for this to be inappropriate enough for me.
