From Kris Gets Healthy
A: is for Apple, what’s your favorite variety? Any kind I can get! Green for with peanut butter, and just about any other for snacking or baking.
B: is for Bread, regardless of nutrition, calories, or whole grains what is your favorite type to have a nice big piece of? Homemade white bread, straight from the oven, with butter.
C: is for Cereal what is your favorite kind currently (just one!) Cheerios! Mostly for making funky stuff with them beyond just a bowl with milk and sugar.
D: is for Doughnuts, you might not currently be eating them but what kind do you fancy? Those really cheap, crappy powdered white ones. Or cake doughnuts. Ooo, or homemade ones using canned biscuits. /drools
E: is for Eggs, how would you like yours prepared? Sunny side up! Even though I can’t cook them that way myself because I’m always afraid of undercooking them, ha.
F: is for Fat Free, what is your favorite fat-free product? Ew, no. Just no.
G: is for Groceries, where do you purchase yours at? Aldis and Krogers mostly. Gotta love cheap. Although now I’m learning the ways of Safeway.
H: is for Hot Beverages, what is your favorite hot drink? Hot chocolate please!
I: is for Ice Cream, pick a favorite flavor and add a fun topping. Chocolate with chocolate with more chocolate with maybe a sprinkle of chocolate and some chocolate syrup. No, I’m not exaggerating. Bring on the richness!
J: is for Jams or Jellies, do you eat them, and if so what kind and flavor? Strawberry preserves rank high.
K: is for Kashi, name your favorite Kashi product? I don’t buy them because they’re so expensive, so uh, any freebies that are sent to me? :P
L: is for Lunch, what was yours today? Chicken noodle soup.
M: is for microwave, what is your favorite microwave meal/snack? Popcorn, of course.
N: is for nutrients, do you like carbs, fats, or proteins best? Uh, can I have all three? I guess probably carbs, because I adore my pastas, but I could never pass up a good steak.
O: is for oil, what kind do you like to use? Olive oil and vegetable oil, depending.
P: is for protein, how do you get yours? Where’s the beef? (and other meats and such…)
Q: is for Quaker, how do you like your oats? ~In the form of a wonderball. I’ll be sure to post the recipe some time.
R: is for roasting, what is your favorite thing to roast? ~Birds galore…..chicken, turkey, duck, penguins…
S: is for sandwich, what’s your favorite kind? ~Hmm, probably sub sandwiches loaded with tons of veggies, meats, cheese, etc, with a classic PBJ coming in second.
T: is for travel, how do you handle eating while traveling? Delightfully! While it’s not wise to go overboard while driving and such, I have absolutely no issues indulging while abroad. I eat pretty healthy most of the time and I would rather get to taste all sorts of wonderful goodies while out of my normal realm than be stuck counting calories or saying no to treats I may never have the chance to experience again.
U: is for unique, what is one of your weirdest food combos? Oy. Cottage cheese and French dressing when added to just about anything? Maybe my love of spaghetti and soft boiled eggs? I don’t know, lol

Y: is for youth, what food reminds you of your childhood? Peanut butter and syrup, just in a bowl and eaten with a spoon. And mayonnaise sandwiches, hehe.
Z: is for zucchini, how do you prepare it? Battered and fried, yum.
Zucchini pizza appetizers – Who needs a crust?

I like fried zucchini.
I like pizza.
I even like zucchini pizza. Whether it’s the kinda where you add slices atop a crust or where you make the crust out of zucchini slices.
So this was a no-brainer side dish and pre-dinner snack for us. It could’ve probably served as the main dish had we not enjoyed them so much before supper, oops, ha.
They’re certainly not the prettiest things, but they do taste good, so who cares?

Wanna make your own?
Slice zucchini, salt, and grill or fry. I filled my griddle with mine. Add some cheese and pepperoni (or whatever other toppings you might want). Cook a bit longer until the cheese melts.
Now mine were small slices and I chose to cut my pepperonis into quarters first (hence the triangle look). Mini pepperonis would make this look much better. Maybe add an olive slice in the middle of that, too? Would be presentable for company even. Yay summer get-togethers!
