Two peas in a pod walk into a kitchen

Nablopomo – A couple – (Like two peas in a pod, no?)

These salt and pepper shakers are just the cutest little couple for a quirky kitchen.

Unfortunately, while I was looking for other cute pea pod products, I found several listed in a Serious Eats article about Toy Story 3 plushies and some are definitely more disturbing than adorable. Like this dog costume:

Really? Had I not said that’s supposed to be “two peas in a pod,” would you have been able to guess it as such? Yikes.

Here, have a couple better ones to make up for it. I found some other great ideas like candles and cupcakes that used the old saying, too, so if you know any couples or best friends that are like two peas in a pod, take the saying and run with it!

Cook corn on the cob in a cooler

I’m all for mass producing food, so this little tip is one I’m surprised I haven’t seen before. I’m sure all the campers and outdoors-lovers already know it, though, so I’m disappointed none of you shared.

Just pile in all your cleaned corn, pour in hot boiling water, close the lid, and in half an hour, you’ll have awesomely cooked corn. No stove full of burners going, no heating up the kitchen, and pans being tied up. Perfect for a family barbecue at the park or a party at home.

Now all you need are some Uni-corn holders…

Zucchini bigger than your arm – Let’s fry it!

Yes, that was a gigantic zucchini. The tiny end is what I used to make these fried zucchini. The big end? Shred it and turned it into blueberry zucchini bread, yum.
