Cake batter martinis

Cake batter martinis using whipped cream vodka, creme de cacao, white chocolate liqueur, heavy cream, and sprinkles glued on with frosting

As you would imagine, this drink is going to be extremely sweet. No, even sweeter than you’d guess based on the name. Look at the ingredients:

amaretto
whipped cream vodka
creme de cacao
white chocolate liqueur
heavy cream
assorted sprinkles
frosting

You’ll have to check out How Sweet Eats for the proportions to make your own. She does say you can use vanilla vodka instead of the whipped cream variety, but it’s not quite as “cupcake material.” If that means it’s not as sweet, that might be a good thing for you.

Even so, I doubt anyone should drink more than one of these at any given time. They’re quite pretty to look at, though.

Roman candle cocktail with berry vodka, cranberry juice, grenadine and blue curacao to create a layered drink for a party

Roman Candle Cocktail

3 oz. Three-O Berry Vodka
½ Oz. Cranberry Juice
Dash of Grenadine
½ oz. Blue Curacao

Shake vodka, cranberry juice and grenadine in a shaker with ice. Strain into martini glass. Pour Blue Curaçao gently down the side of the glass so it comes to settle on the bottom.

Yes, it’s November and I’m talking about the 4th of July. Remember this in 7-8 months when you’re planning an Independence Day party and you can thank me later. I figure it’s better late (early?) than never.

And I’m sure you could come up with a different name to use this pretty drink another time of the year. Cut the lemon zest to look like a bow instead and call it a Christmas present or something.

Bacon and eggs jello shots with bacon flavored vodka and gummy egg candies

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel flavored syrup
  • 1 cup bacon-flavored vodka, chilled
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, finely diced
  • Gummy fried eggs for topping

The full picture tutorial on how to make them is on WikiHow.

I really don’t recommend having these for breakfast every day, especially if you work outside the home. And please be careful if you’re an expert shot shooter…. You’re liable to choke on those little egg candies. Oops.

Also, is anybody else weirded out by the idea of bacon bits in jello? What a strange texture….
