The title of this post makes me think of the old Looney Toons cartoons. When they get really hungry, everything starts looking like food, or when they’re out in the desert and they start seeing mirages. Mmmm.
For some of us, though, we don’t even have to be hungry to start seeing foods in other objects. The above is a great example of some cats that look like delicious croissants.
And people wonder why my kitty cries if you get anywhere near her….
Don’t shoot me for the “double rainbow” reference please. I’m torturing myself for it enough as it is. :(
Isn’t that cool? A friend sent it to me and said she was too lazy to figure out how they did it.
Or maybe she said she just couldn’t find the answer. Hmm. :P
Anyway, I said I’d post about it ‘and’ research it, so here’s the explanation:
“Take a shaker tin and fill it 3/4 with ice. Add Malibu, Vodka, and Triple Sec first. Tilt the tin and add Grenadine. Then add OJ and Sweet and Sour. Finally topping it off with Blue Curacao. Do not shake. Watch the colors layer as you pour. In LA we use 6 Rocks glasses with 2 ounces each. Meant for 2 people”
So there you have it. Others said the drinks really don’t taste that good, but it’s really cool to watch them make it. I’m sure it costs a fortune, though, and to be meant for only two people? I hope they don’t mean for all to be down at once then, hehe.
No, I’m not asking what substance it is. It’s fruit leather, of course. You can see that just from the title, sillies.
And I’m not asking about the shapes, although for the record, that’s 5 shapes in 3 sizes…..long rectangles, circles, triangles, curved teardrops, and straight teardrops.
No, I mean what do you actually ‘see’. Use your imagination. The first thing I saw was a bird. In the upper middle portion of the picture, there are two small circles with tiny circles within and then a “straight teardrop” beak. Before I even scrolled down to see what else was on the site, my mind was racing with other pictures.
Now as it’s explained on Golubka, she envisioned playing a game with the fruit leather and even describes it as an edible puzzle.
For me, it’s just everyday playing with your food, which makes me love it even more.
Here’s a couple more pictures from her site, but you’ll have to hop over there to check out the rest. Did you imagine any that she came up with?
Bird, trees, butterfly, flowers, sun
How clever is that? I don’t think I would’ve thought of the bunny at all!
